  • Soak in clean water: Fully immerse the clay vessel in water for 24 hours. This helps in maintaining the porousness of the vessel.
  • Sun‑drying: Place the clay piece in natural sunlight or a dry, airy space the next day. This adds strength to the clay piece.
  • Ready for use: Your clay piece is ready to be used.

Everyday Cleaning

  • Gentle washing: Gently rinse with warm water after each use. Use a separate microfibre cleaning pad for all your clay pieces. Avoid harsh scrubbing or brushes to maintain the longevity of the piece.
  • Natural cleansing: For deeper cleaning while using beverages such as chai, lassi, coffee etc., rub with fine wood ash or a paste of baking soda and water. These natural abrasives lift stains and odours without damaging the clay.
  • Dry thoroughly: Always air dry or sun dry before storing. Moisture trapped inside can result in the formation of mould.
  • Avoid shocks: Do not expose clay piece to sudden temperature changes.
